Guide to Climate-adaptive Construction
This guide helps municipalities and other local or regional governments to anchor climate-adaptive construction and planning in their policies and plans. The current legislative framework already offers a range of options in this field but, as yet, municipalities have made little use of such options. In many cases, they are unfamiliar with what is legally possible and what is not. By way of example, the guide shows the scope for climate-adaptive construction and planning within current legislation. Regulations can be set down in several ways at the local or regional levels. Other options are to set down agreements in a covenant, or to devise incentive measures. This guide helps you choose between the various options. Thus, it can be a useful tool in risk dialogues and Water Review processes.
