Large façade garden collects rainwater and boosts biodiversity
In front of the Baxter Building office, a mega façade border has been created: a façade garden three times as wide and twice as deep as usual, comprising some 180 different plant species, geared to sunny and shaded spots. Many of the plants feature hairy leaves to filter particulate matter from the air, which makes the air cleaner. The border collects rainwater, including the water falling on the pavements. The project both enhances biodiversity and boosts the visual appeal of the building.
