Climate adaptation is not something any one organisation, city or country can achieve alone. Turning ambitions into action requires people to work across disciplines, organisations and borders - sharing knowledge, learning from experience and finding new ways forward together.
That is what Making Adaptation Work: The Power of Collaboration is all about.
In April 2027, we will bring together professionals, policymakers, researchers and partners from the Netherlands and across Europe for an international conference on climate adaptation. Over two days, we will explore how collaboration can help us move from plans and strategies to climate adaptation that works in practice.
Expect a varied and interactive programme, with inspiring plenary contributions, practical workshops, opportunities to exchange ideas and experiences, and regional excursions that take us out into the field. Topics range from heat and health to climate finance, water systems, community engagement, local climate information and the networks needed to make adaptation happen.
Most of all, this conference is an opportunity to meet others working on similar challenges. To compare approaches, ask questions, share what works - and what does not - and take new ideas and connections home with you.
