Dutch Climate Risk Portal (DCRP)
In recent years, financial organisations have increasingly needed data on climate risks in the Netherlands. The Dutch Climate Risk Portal (DCRP) supports this by bringing all the important information together in one place.
For whom?
The DCRP is designed specifically for the private sector: professionals at banks, pension funds, insurance companies, real estate companies, regulators and credit rating agencies.
How can the Dutch Climate Risk Portal be used?
The DCRP brings all relevant information together in one central place. This makes it easy to see which climate risks are relevant for the Netherlands, how the Netherlands is preparing for them, and where you can find the right datasets. This makes it easier, for example, to carry out stress tests that include climate risks. Because all parties have access to the same national and open data, the portal helps to create a level playing field.
Who has developed the Dutch Climate Risk Portal?
The DCRP was developed by Climate Adaptation Services, commissioned by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, and carried out in collaboration with the Netherlands AAA Climate Proof Initiative. The Climate Adaptation Working Group of the Sustainable Finance Platform of the Dutch central bank also played an important role in testing the portal as part of a closed user group. Climate experts have contributed to the information on the portal and are also helping to manage it.
