How can the Guide be used?
The Guide provides information on foundation issues in the Netherlands and on the responsibilities of the various parties. It contains a participation ladder that municipalities can use to make choices when addressing foundation issues. It also shows how issues can be mapped out, e.g., by using FunderMaps. Furthermore, the Guide explains the role of municipalities in the prevention or delay of foundation damage through active groundwater level management.
Who has developed the Guide?
The Guide to Tackling Municipal Foundation Issues has been developed by the Foundation Issues Expertise Centre (KCAF) and co-funded under the National Foundation Issues Strategy of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).
