Guideline for an integrated environmental vision
This guideline assists municipalities and district water boards in embarking on the design of an integrated environmental vision. Important pillars from the Environment Act are integration, interconnectivity, and participation. This calls for new working processes and professional skills. In this respect, the cross-sectoral theme of “climate adaptation” offers leads for drawing up an integrated environmental vision. The guideline can be used as a means of communication between municipalities and district water boards, and it helps district water boards to liaise with their external stakeholders in order to set to work on the environmental vision. For example, the guideline could be used as a basis for the design of integrated and participatory processes.
