Merging: climate-adaptive instruments for construction projects
How can climate resilience be accommodated in area developments in new and existing urban areas? This type of development involves close collaboration between public and private parties. What options do the various parties have to factor in for climate adaptation? In collaboration with TAUW and &Flux consultants, the Climate-proof Together platform has created this guide to provide insight into such options. The guide provides an overview of twenty-five products, manuals, and tools supporting the construction process.
For whom?
This guide is intended for all the professionals involved in area development.
How can it be used?
The guide provides an overview of the options for steering area developments towards climate adaptation. Several tables help organisations to choose their appropriate role in the process. In addition, for each role, tools are provided geared to various themes, such as implementation, organisation, and policy. For example, what financial instruments are available to public and private organisations? Furthermore, the guide presents a wide range of best practices to be used in climate-adaptive new construction projects.
Who has developed this guide?
The Merging guide has been developed by &Flux, TAUW, and the Climate-proof Together platform.
