Would you like to know the probability of flooding at a particular location? The WaterRiskProfile provides such insight.

For whom?

Professionals wanting to know the probability of flooding at a specific location, on the basis of which they intend to determine whether the risks are acceptable or not.

How can it be used?

The WaterRiskProfile enables you to determine the probability of a specific flood depth at a location. You can do so for three moments in time: for the present, for the year 2050 and for the year 2100. This flood depth can be the result of extreme precipitation, high water or dyke failure. The WaterRiskProfile is based on the information on flooding and extreme precipitation contained in the National Water and Flooding Information System (LIWO). Would you also like to determine whether the probability of a particular flood depth constitutes a reason for implementing measures? The associated WaterRiskDiagram will be helpful in this respect. Subsequently, the Impact Reduction Options map will give you an overview of potential measures for each flood depth.

Who has developed My WaterRiskProfile?

My WaterRiskProfile has been developed by HKV knowledge entrepreneurs for flood risk and water management. It is one of the tools contained in the Climate Impact Atlas.
