Manuals for Sustainable Industrial Estates
Attractive, future-proof industrial estates are important to entrepreneurs. Investing in sustainable industrial estates holds value, not only for society but also for entrepreneurs and employees. But how can you pursue sustainable development in a building or industrial estate? These two Manuals help entrepreneurs to make their premises or industrial estate more sustainable, more biodiverse and more climate adaptive.
For whom?
The two Manuals have been written for entrepreneurs. One Manual is intended to set to work with new sustainable businesses and industrial estates, and the other to pursue sustainability in existing businesses and industrial estates.
How can the Manuals be used?
The Manuals provide an overview of measures that entrepreneurs can implement to make their premises or industrial estate more sustainable, more biodiverse and more climate adaptive. One Manual is for new buildings and industrial estates, the other for existing buildings and estates. The Manuals outline both indoor and outdoor measures. They also provide information on how and at what stage the measures can best be implemented.
Who has developed the Manuals?
The Manuals have been developed by the province of Overijssel, entrepreneurs’ organisation MKB-Nederland Midden and the Confederation of Mid-Netherlands Industry and Employers (VNO-NCW Midden). Together, these organisations are developing a comprehensive strategy for future-proof industrial estates in the province of Overijssel. As part of this strategy, they have compiled these two Manuals for the pursuit of sustainability in industrial estates.
